Problem-Situation Of Radiotherapy In The Teaching Of University Level Chemistry: Contexts Of An Investigation

O presente estudo analisou como a resolução de uma situação-problema sobre radioterapia, contribuiu para a construção de conceitos relacionados à radioatividade. Para resolver a situação-problema proposta, baseada em um contexto real, os licenciandos em Química de uma Instituição Federal de Ensino Superior vivenciaram uma sequência de atividades com elementos do Ensino por Pesquisa que abordava os três aspectos do conhecimento químico, a saber, teórico, fenomenológico e representacional. A análise dos resultados mostrou que a construção de uma situação adaptada de um contexto real é uma boa alternativa para a aprendizagem de conceitos de radioatividade, pois permite o desenvolvimento da temática sob o ponto de vista de diversos aspectos do conhecimento químico.
The present study analyzed how to resolve a problem-situation regarding radiotherapy, contributing to the construction of concepts related to radioactivity. In order to resolve the problem-situation proposed, based on a real context, chemistry graduates of a Federal Higher Education Institution underwent a sequence of activities with elements of research teaching that discussed the three aspects of chemical knowledge: theoretical, phenomenological and representational. The results showed that creating a situation adapted from a real context is a good alternative for learning radioactivity concepts, since it allows development of the issue from the perspective of a number of aspects of chemical knowledge.
