The Use Of Software Of Molecular Representation In 3d As An Interdisciplinary Teaching Material For Chemistry Education

Atualmente paira sobre a área de Ciências Naturais, e principalmente na disciplina de Química, uma grande preocupação com relação ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem de conceitos científicos pelos alunos, tanto do ensino médio, quanto da graduação. Uma saída por parte dos estudiosos da Educação Química para sanar essa problemática têm sido desenvolver e apontar materiais didáticos baseados em Novas Tecnologias para incrementar a metodologia das aulas ministradas pelos professores de Ciências. Alguns desses materiais didáticos, que podem contribuir com o êxito do processo de ensino-aprendizagem, são os softwares educacionais, que auxiliam o professor a tornarem suas aulas mais interessantes, didáticas e dinâmicas. Neste trabalho realizou-se uma investigação com um software de representação de estruturas moleculares em três dimensões com alunos da terceira série do ensino médio de uma escola pública do interior de Goiás e constatou-se que o software pode ajudar os alunos a compreender melhor as representações das geometrias de algumas moléculas.
The field of Natural Sciences, and more specifically the field of Chemistry, faces a big concern regarding the teaching-learning process of scientific concepts for students from both High School and Higher Education. Chemistry Educators have been developing and pointing to Technology-based Teaching Materials as an increment to the methodology used in the classroom by Science professors. One of these teaching materials that can contribute for a better teaching-learning process is an educational software that is able to help educators to make their classes more interesting, didactic and dynamic. In this paper, an investigation was carried out using software that makes representations of some molecular structures with students of the third grade of High School, from a public school in the countryside of the State of Goiás. It was found out that the software has actually helped the students to better comprehend three dimensional molecular structures.
