Abstract

The present article is derived from the doctoral research entitled Scientific and Pedagogical Knowledge of Content expressed by Exit Professors of the Program of Initiation to Teaching in Chemistry of UFMT, developed in the years of 2013 to 2016, in the Graduate Program in Education in Sciences and Mathematics of the Amazonian Network of Education in Science and Mathematics (REAMEC), and is part of the research that seeks to deepen the understanding of Teaching Knowledge and Teacher Training in Chemistry and Initiation to Teaching in Chemistry for Basic Education. In this sense, I present the research problem: How are scientific knowledge and pedagogical knowledge of chemical contents underlying the teaching of professors who graduated from the Bolsa de Iniciacao da Educação em Química da UFMT Program, when they relate the teaching of Chemistry that they carry out in the Basic education? I assume the Narrative Research as a research method, and this research has as subjects four pibidians graduates of the Licentiate degree in Chemistry of the UFMT, Cuiabá-MT campus, who are acting as teachers of Chemistry in Basic Education. Concerning the research problem, I opted for the following investigative instruments: questionnaire, in view of the characterization of the subjects; interviews of the subjects involved in the research in the form of a semi-structured interview, audio records of the focal group performed with the egressed teachers. In order to analyze the field texts and produce the research texts, I adopted Discursive Textual Analysis. With the result of this article it is observed with the class episode of the collaborating teachers that in the interweaving between the Scientific Knowledge and the Pedagogical Knowledge of Content, that the language becomes fundamental, since both it can be instrument for the rational discussion of chemical concepts highly mathematical, as it can convey realistic, allegedly didactic metaphors that hinder scientific knowledge. I understand that it will not be keeping the student Strong to the apparent knowledge of daily life, to the realism of the first interpretations, that it will be possible to teach Chemistry. I believe that the double and challenging work of valuing the students prior knowledge and questioning them is important, thus deconstructing the epistemological obstacles that impede learning.
