Abstract

In the expectation of contributing to the improvement of the teaching of physics, it was sought in the present study to construct, develop and evaluate a UEPS (Potentially Significant Teaching Unit), using conceptual parodies as a pedagogical tool for the study of the wave movement in basic education. We had as purpose to investigate indications of meaningful learning, as well as to identify advantages and limitations of the use of parodies in the teaching of physics. The research is part of the context of the qualitative approach and data collection occurred through observation and recording of the facts in a field diary, besides the application of questionnaires and analysis of the conceptual parodies produced by the students. The intervention revealed that the proposal of the didactic sequence was configured as a UEPS capable of approaching the students of scientific knowledge, revealing indications of meaningful learning, stimulating the socialization of meanings and study of the content.
