Helping to Elucidate the Physical and Mathematical Meaning of Integrals for Engineering Students in a Short Course with the Help of Statements

O presente artigo mostra o desempenho obtido por 14 alunos de Física Geral 2, em uma Universidade Particular da grande Cuiabá, antes e depois de um minicurso realizado de forma remota de interpretação de integrais da disciplina. O curso foi composto pela interpretação geométrica e textual das integrais. O teste de verificação, antes e após o curso, foi constituído de oito questões com oito alternativas de escolha em que uma delas é nenhuma afirmação é verdadeira. As questões foram mostradas na tela do Google Meet para que os estudantes enviassem a resposta para o e-mail do docente antes e depois do curso. O resultado obtido foi uma melhora na quantidade total de acertos, além de um aumento na quantidade de acertos por questão, tais fatos sugerem ser necessário cada vez mais abordagens interpretativas das integrais no processo de ensino-aprendizagem.
This article shows the performance obtained by 14 students of General Physics 2, in a Private University in the greater Cuiabá, before and after a mini-course carried out remotely in the interpretation of integrals of the discipline. The course was composed by the geometric and textual interpretation of the integrals. The verification test, before and after the course, consisted of eight questions with eight alternatives of choice in which one of them is no statement is true. The questions were shown on the Google Meet screen for students to send the answer to the professor email before and after the course. The result obtained was an improvement in the total number of correct answers, in addition to an increase in the number of correct answers per question, such facts suggest that more interpretive approaches to integrals are needed in the teaching-learning process.
