A DOCÊNCIA E AS ATIVIDADES DE EXPERIMENTAÇÃO NO ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS NAS SÉRIES INICIAIS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL

EXPERIMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE SCIENCE CLASSES AT THE INITIAL GRADES OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Resumo

Este trabalho teve como objetivo abordar o papel do professor na estimulação da reflexão pelo discente, durante atividades práticas, como experimentação e demonstração, nas aulas de Ciências nas séries iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Para a realização da pesquisa foi utilizado, como instrumento, um questionário constituído de seis perguntas abertas, que buscaram compreender o papel do professor em problematizar atividades práticas para promover a reflexão do aluno. Mediante as respostas obtidas, foi possível observar que, embora o grupo de educadores, participantes do trabalho, estar consciente de que as atividades de experimentação proporcionam diversas vantagens no aprendizado de Ciências, como a ampliação dos conhecimentos prévios e oportunidades para a reflexão, fazem pouco uso dessa modalidade didática.

Abstract

This paper had as its objective to approach the role of the teacher in the stimulation for the students’ reflection, during the experiment activities, in the Science classes at the initial grades of Elementary School. With this purpose, some procedures had been used, as: first, the bibliographical research, in order to construe this paper theoretical justification; and, finally, the field research, for the analysis of the school reality, when questionnaires were applied to teachers who teach Science in the initial grades of Elementary School at a private school in the city of Apucarana - PR. In this context, was noticed the attitude of the teacher who desires to make his/her classes more interesting, encouraging unanimous and challenging participation, attaining the main objective of stimulating the students’ reflection, in order to take the knowledge acquired in the classroom to their reality.
