Abstract

The main objective of this article is to analyze the intense development of Physics, particularly in the twentieth century, which has placed both the high school and the university in several countries, facing a very complex problem: how to organize, in an innovative way, the teaching of this science. Among the proposals presented to solve the problem created, at that time, the following stand out: 1) The PSSC (Physical Sciences Study Committee), which developed a new program for high school with textbooks and teaching materials, including laboratory practices, demonstrations of phenomena and physical laws and film projections as a significant part of its content; 2) The "Berkeley Physics Course", which signified an important advance in the field of education, paying special attention to the problems of teaching physics to first semester students at universities of America. In this context, interest is focused on procedures and methodologies related to physics teaching, highlighting the intrinsic relationship between theory, didactic laboratories of measurement, demonstration of phenomena and physical laws through new technologies used in the development of remote laboratories.
