Abstract

The present article aims to show and discuss tactile materials for the teaching of atomic models and electronic distribution for blind students. The developed materials can be used in basic education, in the inclusive context, where blind or low vision students and also sighted students can interact with materials, stimulating the learning. The research carried out has a qualitative character and we use tape recordings with later audio transcription to analyze the results. The results show that the tactile materials created were useful for the learning of chemical contents by the blind learner, which proved favorable to their use by the visually impaired. We believe that these materials, because they are inexpensive, can be reproduced and used by chemistry teachers of basic education.
