Abstract

The environmental reserves are important non-formal spaces for the scientific education and for the popularization of the sciences that allow the understanding of the scientific language outside school. The goal for this work was to analyse the efficiency of a non-formal space, represented by the Sapiranga Ecological Reserve, as a complementary enviroment to the school education through a question script that would stablish, in a interdisciplinary and contextualized way, the Living Beings content, which was taught in high school. Thus, it was utilized a guide with questions that oriented the students observations regarding the economic systems action on the nature degradation, as well as, the caracterization of the existent organisms at the reserve. Futhermore, the students were oriented to photograph the organism that was most attention-getting during the excursion. Those pictures, subtitles included, were organized in a paper board with the intention of socialize the cientific knowledge acquired during the field classes to the other students and workers of the school that didn t go to the visitation. Finally, this paper highlighted a few difficulties at accomplishing scholar activities at informal spaces, as well as the positive aspects related to the utilization of similar spaces for education.
