O ENSINO DE LIGAÇÃO QUÍMICA POR MEIO DE SITUAÇÃO-PROBLEMA COM ESTUDANTES DO ENSINO MÉDIO

The chemical bond teaching by situation problem with high school students

Abstract

In this study, a problem situation (PS) and related activities were developed to approach chemical bonds with high school students. The PS focused on a chemical phenomenon evidenced from an internet video. The students reflected on the possibilities of occurrence of the phenomenon, its speed, the type of connection that occurred. They also built chemical structures during formal education so that all three levels of chemical knowledge were experienced during the approach. For the analysis of the students responses, the so-called satisfactory, partially satisfactory and unsatisfactory categories were established. The students responses showed a conceptual evolution. Their attitudes, such as group participation and discussion, were positive, demonstrating the potential of the PS approach in the school context.
