The Reprovation in the Disciplines of Engineering Physics Caused by the Absence of Mathematical Bases in Fundamental and Average Teachings

O presente artigo tem como objetivo caracterizar a reprovação nas disciplinas de Física dos cursos de Engenharia do IFMT Campus Cuiabá e sugerir a aplicação de um teste aos alunos ingressantes para detectar as dificuldades em matemática básica que podem levar a estas reprovações em física. O teste é composto de tópicos matemáticos dos ensinos fundamental e médio que são aplicados comumente em problemas de física no básico de engenharia.
The present article aims to characterize the reprobation in the Physics disciplines of the Engineering courses of the IFMT Campus Cuiabá and to suggest the application of a test to incoming students to detect the difficulties in basic mathematics that can lead to these reprobations in physics. The test is composed of mathematical topics from elementary and middle school which are commonly applied in physics problems in the basic engineering.
