A proposal for teaching about the moon from “histótia problematizadora”: between imagination and knowledge

Este estudo trabalha com os conhecimentos que 37 alunos do 2º ano do Ensino Fundamental possuem a respeito do movimento aparente da Lua. Para tanto, utilizamos a contação de “história problematizadora”, que é um texto fictício, com final aberto, que termina com uma pergunta, conduzindo os alunos a desvendar os problemas propostos. Parte de sua solução está na observação do ambiente externo, neste caso, o céu da escola onde fora implementada. Logo, nosso problema foi: que conhecimentos sobre o movimento aparente da Lua são modificados, dos estudantes do 2° ano do Ensino Fundamental ao participarem da contação de “história problematizadora” envolvendo tal tema? Os dados da pesquisa foram obtidos a partir de entrevistas e falas dos alunos ao participarem da atividade, além das explicações sobre desenhos que produziram. Discutimos a natureza de tais conhecimentos e as implicações do trabalho com a história problematizadora no ensino de Astronomia.
This study works with the knowledge that 37 students of second grade of Elementary School have about the apparent movement of the Moon. We used the storytelling-"história problematizadora", which is an unreal text, with open endings, ended by a question, leading students to discover the problems proposed. Part of the solution is in the observation of the external environment, in this case, the sky outside the school where implemented. Thus, our problem was: what knowledge of second grade Elementary School students, about the apparent movement of the Moon, are modified, after participating of storytelling-"história problematizadora" involving such topic?. The data were obtained from interviews and speeches of students that participated of the activity, beyond explanations of drawings produced by them. We discuss the nature of such knowledge and the implications of working with “história problematizadora” in astronomy education.
