POTENCIALIDADES DO USO DE OFICINAS NO ENSINO DE FÍSICA: ANÁLISE DE UMA ESTRATÉGIA PARA AULAS INICIANDO POR PRÁTICAS EXPERIMENTAIS
Potential use of Workshops in Physics Education: Analysis of a strategy for practices starting with experimental practices

O objetivo do presente artigo é a investigar as potencialidades da utilização de oficinas temáticas, aplicadas antes do início das aulas, como estratégia metodológica de ensino de Física. Para isso foi proposto o uso de atividades experimentais em oficinas com alunos dos cursos técnicos integrados do Instituto Federal de Ciência e Tecnologia do Ceará (IFCE). Para verificar a eficiência da metodologia, foi realizado um estudo comparativo com as médias finais dos alunos dos semestres 2017.1 e 2017.2. Na análise dos resultados, foi utilizada a técnica estatística para verificar se houve diferença estatística entre as médias dos alunos que participaram das oficinas e os que não participaram. A técnica estatística utilizada foi o teste U de Mann-Whitney e o software utilizado foi o Bioestat 5.3. Os resultados mostraram que houve uma diferença estatisticamente significativa entre as médias dos alunos que participaram das oficinas e os que não participaram. Por fim, acredita-se que o uso de práticas experimentais por meio de oficinas temáticas antes do início das aulas potencializou a aprendizagem no ensino de Física.
The aim of this article is to investigate the potential of using thematic workshops, applied before the beginning of classes, as a methodological strategy for Physics education.For this purpose, the use of experimental activities in workshops with students from the integrated technical courses of the Federal Institute of Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE) was proposed. To verify the efficiency of the methodology, a comparative study was carried out with the final averages of students in the 2017.1 and 2017.2 semesters. In the analysis of the results, the statistical technique was used to check if there was a statistical difference between the averages of the students who participated in the workshops and those who did not. The statistical technique used was the Mann-Whitney U test and the software used was Bioestat 5.3. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the averages of the students who participated in the workshops and those who did not. Finally, it is believed that the use of experimental practices through thematic workshops before the start of classes has enhanced learning in Physics education.
