ASTRONOMIA NOS TRILHOS: A PERCEPÇÃO PÚBLICA DOS ARTEFATOS DIDÁTICOS DA BANCA DA CIÊNCIA
Astronomy on the rails: The Public Perception of the Didactics Artifacts of the Stand of Science

A seguinte pesquisa se deu a partir da realização de atividades referentes à Astronomia no âmbito do projeto de divulgação científica Banca da Ciência, com a finalidade de identificar e discutir as percepções e concepções de estudantes do ensino médio e usuários de trem de São Paulo a respeito do Sistema Solar e das estações do ano. Para isso, utilizou-se uma metodologia de intervenção pautada em Vigotski (2001), Freire (1983, 2013) e Snyders (1988) onde a coleta de dados incluiu observação participante, anotações e fotografias das atividades em duas situações diferentes: intervenções no programa EACH Portas Abertas e intervenções nas estações de trem da CPTM-SP. Dessa forma, verificaram-se similaridades entre os dois públicos referentes a algumas concepções de senso comum acerca dessas temáticas da astronomia. Além disso, o acervo utilizado pela Banca nas intervenções foi interessante no que se refere à desconstrução de “erros” e equívocos comuns constatados durante as atividades desenvolvidas.
The following research was carried out starting from the activities related to Astronomy in the ambit of the project of scientific dissemination Stand of Science, with the purpose to identify and discuss the perceptions and conceptions of high school students and train users of São Paulo regarding the Solar System and the seasons of the year. For this, an intervention methodology based on Vygotsky (2001), Freire (1983, 2013) and Snyders (1988) was used where the data collection included annotations and photographs of the activities in two different situations: interventions in the program EACH Open Doors and interventions at train stations of CPTM-SP. In this way, there were similarities between the two publics regarding some common-sense conceptions about these astronomy themes. In addition, the collection used by the Stand in the interventions was interesting in regard to the deconstruction of common “mistakes” and misconceptions found during the activities developed.
