DA COR PÚRPURA AO BLUE-JEANS: UMA ABORDAGEM HISTÓRICA DA CIÊNCIA NAS SALAS DE RECURSOS MULTIFUNCIONAIS
From the purple color to the blue-jeans: a Historical approach to Science in the Multifunctional Resource Rooms

A presente pesquisa buscou investigar as potencialidades didáticas do uso da História da Ciência (HC) como material pedagógico a ser utilizado em Salas de Recurso Multifuncionais (SRM) para alunos com necessidade de atendimento especializado. O elemento histórico abordado foi a trajetória de desenvolvimento e uso do corante de cor púrpura (mauveína) que revolucionou o mercado têxtil e de corantes e, consequentemente, impulsionou o desenvolvimento científico e econômico das sociedades no passado. O material pedagógico foi confeccionado no formato de Crônica Histórica para que fosse melhor aceito e vivenciado pelos alunos no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. A eficácia da adoção do material foi investigada pela análise das produções textuais dos alunos, adotando-se como referencial a análise textual discursiva. Em síntese, tratou-se de investigar concepções prévias dos alunos inseridos na SRM acerca da ciência e das disciplinas científicas vivenciadas em sala de aula e, através da aplicação e leitura da crônica histórica, aproximá-los ainda mais da natureza do processo científico. Os resultados apontam uma melhora por parte dos alunos na compreensão dos processos históricos e sociais da produção do conhecimento científico
The present research sought to investigate the didactic potential of the use of the History of Science (HC) as pedagogical material to be used in Multifunctional Resource Rooms (SRM) for students in need of specialized assistance. The historical element discussed was the development and use of purple dye (mauvein) that revolutionized the textile and dye market and, consequently, stimulated the scientific and economic development of society in the past. The pedagogical material was made in the Historical Chronicle format so that it was better accepted and experienced by the students in the teaching and learning process. The effectiveness of the adoption of the material was investigated by the analysis of the textual productions of the students, adopting as reference the discursive textual analysis. In summary, it was a question of investigating previous conceptions of the students inserted in the SRM about science and the scientific disciplines lived in the classroom and, through the application and reading of the historical chronicle, bring them closer to the true nature of the scientific process. The results point to an improvement on the part of the students in the understanding of the historical and social processes of the production of scientific knowledge.
