Approach to sexually transmitted infections through the theater for high school EJA students

As Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST) representam o problema de saúde pública mais comum em todo o mundo e, no Brasil, tem registrado crescimento do número de casos entre jovens. Por isso, ações nesse segmento devem ser intensificadas, em especial, a promoção da Educação em Saúde, abordada de forma significativa e transformadora, que possibilite ao jovem identificar e avaliar situações de riscos à sua saúde e assim, diminuir suas vulnerabilidades frente às IST. Este trabalho trata-se de um relato de experiência, de abordagem qualitativa descritiva, realizado a partir da construção de um roteiro teatral com bonecos de fantoches para abordar a problemática das IST com estudantes da educação básica. Os dados emergiram de observações, relatos orais e escritos. A partir da análise dos dados é possível afirmar que este roteiro teatral se mostrou ser uma excelente ferramenta de Educação em Saúde, capaz de contribuir para desconstrução de preconceitos, diminuição da vulnerabilidade de jovens frente às IST e, consequentemente, para a prevenção de novos casos de IST.
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) represent the most common public health problem worldwide and in Brazil, there has been an increase in the number of cases among young people. Therefore, actions in this segment should be intensified the promotion of Health Education, addressed in a meaningful and transformative way, which allows young people to identify and assess situations of risk to their health and, thus, reduce their vulnerabilities in relation to STI. This work is an experience report, with a descriptive qualitative approach, carried out from the construction of a theatrical script with puppet dolls to address the issue of STI with students of basic education. The data emerged from observations, oral and written reports. From the analysis of the data, it is possible to affirm that this theatrical script proved to be an excellent tool for Health Education, capable of contributing to deconstruct prejudices, reduce the vulnerability of young people in relation to STI and, consequently, for the prevention of new cases. of IST.
